# How to select a face or a line or a point by id?

Hello Teacher  
I recorded some special faces index. Now i want to show or hide or hightlilght a face by its id, is it possible? How can i do it?

Hello,

For a given face index on a mesh, you can set its visibility using the function [setNodeFaceVisibility](https://docs.techsoft3d.com/hoops/visualize-web/api_ref/viewing/classes/Model.html#Model.setNodeFaceVisibility).
