# Why are some SolidWorks configurations are missing in HOOPS Exchange?

As you can see in the screenshot below, some SolidWorks configurations may present greyed dashes:

That’s because they’re purged by SolidWorks in order to save some space, however such models have to be regenerated by SolidWorks kernel in order to be displayed. So since HOOPS doesn’t embed any modeler, it’s currently unable to recompute those purged configurations.

### How to prevent SolidWorks to automatically purge configurations ?

In order to avoid SolidWorks to automatically purge cached configurations, please be sure to disable the corresponding option in: System Options \> Performance \> Purged cached configuration data
