Is there a way to make Revit format data measurable?

Hello,

The source CAD file, Revit or otherwise, must include a Brep definition. Without this, the data is not measureable.

Thanks,
Tino

Can we measure by including the Brep definition? I noticed in the document that the Revit format does not support Brep. Our Revit format drawings can be measured by opening them with Revit Viewer, but cannot be measured by using Exchange conversion. Is there any way to do this?

In the Revit file, what geometry are you trying to measure? Brep is required for certain operators such as the edge length measurement operator. But other operators such as point-to-point will work with just tessellation only (no Brep).

For example, point-to-point distance, point to line distance, point to face distance, line to line distance, line to face distance, face to face distance, line to line angle, face to face angle, etc

My response back on October 12th could have been worded better. I should have said that if Exchange supports Brep in the source CAD file, then measurements are supported. So in the case where you supply Brep in the Revit, this will not work as Exchange will not be able to read it.
