Marque Misaligned to Area Select

Hello,

We are having in issue when a cat part is translated in hoops 4.7.1 and when doing an area select, the area select becomes misaligned to the mouse marque. Has anyone encountered this issue?

Thanks

Hello @michael.a.lara,

I have not personally seen this behavior before. In the screenshot you provided, it looks like you are using your application. Is the behavior also occuring in the default Web Viewer application that comes with the Communicator package?

Thanks,
Tino

Hello @tino ,

This was a screenshot form the default web viewer that this issue is occurring on. Tried investigating this issue but not sure why it is coming up.

Thank you,
Michael A. Lara

To do a more thorough investigation on our end, we will likely need the source catpart file. We’d appreciate it if you could create a support ticket in the Communicator Support Portal and we’ll take it from there.

Sorry for late response did not see your message.

This instance has not only occurred for catparts but for any translations we have done causing the unalignment.

As a quick test, I used the default Web Viewer that is available in the Communicator 2024.7.1 package. When using the area selection operator, the rubberband rectangle tracks correctly to the mouse pointer:
area_selection_forum

Is your area selection operator the default operator or did you create your own custom operator?

we are using the default operator “hwv.operatorManager.push(OperatorId.AreaSelect)”

@tino Update: was able to resolve and fix the issue. The issue seemed to be using the global css assignment for the body and “text-align: center” would move the svg to the right side of the container.

in the CSS overriding fixed this issue.

Thank you

That’s great news — glad to hear you resolved the issue!
